Getting Started with Reactive ASCOM

We have prepared two videos that should help developers get started with Reactive Communications for ASCOM.

This first video introduces the concepts of transactions, communications channels and the Transaction Observer then shows how to write a simple program from File|New Project, importing the NuGet package, creating and configuring the runtime types, conducting a first simple transaction, enabling logging and using a custom communications channel.

The second video takes a look at inheriting the DeviceTransaction base class to create a custom transaction type to receive sexagesimal values. Driver developers will typically need to create one or more classes derived from DeviceTransaction and this video shows how.
